muffins and hearts

We had a productive morning.  Emma made blueberry muffins from a mix I picked up on clearance because I knew she would like that.





Then we made these hearts that I saw on Wee Folk Art

We made igloo pictures today.  It was snowing lightly this morning so I thought it would be fun.  I saw this on Frugal Family Fun Blog (which I love!) A link to the directions. (I just noticed we glued our doors too high...oh well.  :))

My plarn bag is finished!

It took quite a while and a lot of effort but I finally finished my plarn grocery bag. I used well over 100 bags to make this.

Finished Felted Granny Slippers

I finished the granny slippers today. I was nervous about felting them but it worked fine in my front loader. I think they might be a tiny bit big but they fit perfectly with socks on so it's probably better that way. I made these slippers using Sensations Natural Collection Felt-able PaCaBoo yarn that I got on sale for $1.99 a skein at Joann's. I got one of each skein. I used up almost every bit of the white and have quite a lot of the two brown shades left. I'll probably make some kind of little bag or something with it.

My Felted Granny Slippers

I finished crocheting and sewing together my felted granny slippers. I still have to felt them and I am a bit nervous having never done it before and also because I have a front loading washer. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow. The one on the left is the squares sewed together flat and the one on the right is all put together.
