In January, I embarked on a scripture memory challenge to learn 100 Bible Verses in 2013. You can search my blog for weekly updates which I did for a while and included my favorite resources for scripture memory. Many weeks I raved about my favorite tool which is Scripture Typer. I.LOVE.THIS.APP! I have not only memorized all 100 verses ahead of schedule, I have learned more than 100!
Scripture Typer is also available free online, but I love the app so much I almost never use the online version.
I have wanted to write a little something about the app for a while now but hadn't taken the time to take screen shots to show it to you. Last week I got an e-mail from Scripture Typer saying that they made a video demo, so now I don't need to.
This could be the best $5.99 you have ever spent.

We are on week 22 of 100 Bible Verses in 2013 using Robert Morgan's book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart which I am doing along with a Facebook group started by Shanna at Learning at His Feet. I know I keep saying this but I am really enjoying learning these verses.

100 Bible Verses in 2013
I haven't posted one of these in a couple of week but I am still plugging along. I am all caught up on my verses in 100 Bible Verses in 2013 using Robert Morgan's book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart which I am doing along with a Facebook group started by Shanna at Learning at His Feet. I have 1 of this week's 2 already memorized and I'm working on the second one.
I always include my list of scripture memory resources in these posts but truth be told the only one I actually use is Scripture Typer. I don't know how I could have learned (and reviewed) these verses without it. It's easier than a card system and I have the app so I can take it with me wherever I go. I review verses in the car (not when I'm driving of course) and while I'm waiting...you know...waiting while kids have music lessons, waiting at appointments etc. I highly recommend Scripure Typer!
This week's verses are Psalm 100:4 and 1 Peter 1:3. (I don't have the time to do word art right now but I didn't want to let another week go by without posting on this.) I think we are up to 32 verses now. Can't say how glad I am that I am doing this.

100 Bible Verses in 2013: Weeks 11 & 12
I am all caught up on my verses in 100 Bible Verses in 2013 using Robert Morgan's book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart which I am doing along with a Facebook group started by Shanna at Learning at His Feet. I didn't do a blog post this week for my verses so I decided to combine 2 weeks into one post. Three of the 4 verses are consecutive so I am putting them in one picture even though they were spread over 2 weeks of learning...so it actually worked out good that I waited.

100 Bible Verses in 2013-Week 10
I am once again caught up on all of my verses in 100 Bible Verses in 2013 using Robert Morgan's book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart which I am doing along with a Facebook group started by Shanna at Learning at His Feet. Last week I got a bit behind, but using Scripture Typer I was able to catch up again. I love Scripture Typer so much I started a group with my church too. I am pretty sure I would not be doing as well with the verses without it.

100 Bible Verses in 2013-Week 7
It is now Week 7 of learning 100 Bible Verses in 2013 using Robert Morgan's book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart which I am doing along with a Facebook group started by Shanna at Learning at His Feet.
This week was a real struggle...but one with good success. It took some practice but I was able to memorize Joshua 1:8. I still need to keep reviewing it so that it will "stick".
Last week I mentioned using Scripture Typer online (free) and I'm really enjoying it. I also purchased the app for my iPod touch. ($5.99 and worth every penny)
The verses this week are Deuteronomy 6:6-7.

100 Bible Verses in 2013-Week 6
This is week 6 of learning 100 Bible Verses in 2013 using Robert Morgan's book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart which I am doing along with a Facebook group started by Shanna at Learning at His Feet.
The first verse of the week is quite long. I hope I can manage to memorize it. It's not one that I know yet.
This second verse is a good one for everyone to know. I do already know this one though I have to learn the reference too. Sometimes I have verses memorized, but I don't know the reference.
Each week I've been sharing Scripture Memory resources. This week I started using Scripture Typer which you can do online or get an app for an iphone. It is $5.99 on iTunes. So much fun. ( I haven't tried the app yet so I can't vouch for that.)

100 Bible Verses in 2013 Week 5
This is week 5 of learning 100 Bible Verses in 2013 using Robert Morgan's book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart which I am doing along with a Facebook group started by Shanna at Learning at His Feet.
II can't believe we're up to week 5 already. By the end of this week I'll have the first 10 verses hidden in my heart! I love this book and this challenge! This week I am learning the last of 5 verses in the Romans Road.
The next verse begins a series of verses on Listening: The Word of God and Prayer. We begin with 2 Timothy 3:16.
Scripture Memory resources:
What I find most helpful doesn't cost a cent though. Repeating the verse out loud 5 times a day and writing them out. Frequent review is helpful as well.
Shanna linked to a post on A Holy Experience blog with some scripture memory helps. I am not a fan of the author's writing style (no tomatoes please),but she does offer some good resources so I recommend checking it out.

100 Bible Verses in 2013- Week 4
This is week 4 of learning 100 Bible Verses in 2013 using Robert Morgan's book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart which I am doing along with a Facebook group started by Shanna at Learning at His Feet.
I have had no trouble learning the 2 verses each week so far, but that is mainly because I already knew most of them. I am struggling with one this week, but I expect to have it down by the weekend.
This week we are learning more verses from the Romans Road. Last week we learned Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23. This week it is Romans 5:8 (which I know) and Romans 10:9 (struggling!)

This is my method for learning verses. Repeat the verse 5 times out loud each day. Use my Well Versed Bible Memory Assistant (free app) on my iPod touch to review and quiz myself and continue to add to my scripture memory system box. I also find writing the verse out to be helpful. My favorite way to learn Bible verses is through song. Bible Truth Music puts out a series (I think there are 7 now) of scripture memory songs (KJV) that are great for the whole family.

100 Bible Verses in 2013-Week 3
This is the third week of learning 100 Bible Verses in 2013 using Robert Morgan's book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart which I am doing along with a Facebook group started by Shanna at Learning at His Feet.
So far I have memorized 4 verses. Genesis 1:1, John 1:1, John 3:16 and John 1:14. John 1:14 was a bit tough but I did it.
This week the verses are Romans 3:23 and Romans 6:23. I already know both verses I just have trouble remembering which one is which. We have some children's Bible Memory CDs from Bible Truth Music and I learned these verses from these songs (a couple of years ago.) Songs are a great way to learn Bible verses.
I am still using the Well Versed Bible Memory Assistant (free app) for my iPod touch and started setting up my scripture memory system box.
I am really thankful for this challenge.

100 Bible Verses in 2013
I am so excited about this upcoming adventure that I wanted to share it on my blog. I recently signed up with a group of ladies to learn 100 Bible Verses in 2013. The verses are from the book 100 Bible Verses Everyone Should Know by Heart by Robert J. Morgan. Though I didn't have to purchase the book to participate it looked like it would be good so I purchased it for my Kindle. I'm glad that I did.
I am really looking forward to this challenge. I am familiar with a lot of the verses and feel confident that I CAN do this. I can't wait to get started.
